Traveling with Scooters

If you are traveling with a scooter or wheelchair, please consider the following information to make your trip comfortable and secure:

Our company does not provide any handicap-accessible vehicles with ramps; however, we will be able to assist you by providing a regular van (Transporter 1 - 7 passengers) and placing the scooter in the trunk with the rest of your luggage.

In this case, our driver will only be able to assist in maneuvering. We are not responsible in case of any mishandling or damage to the scooter, which is why the passenger and companions must be present at all times to handle and load it into the van.

If you have a foldable wheelchair, we will be happy to help you carry it in the luggage compartment.

Important: Only one chair fits per van (Transporter 1 - 7 passengers).

If you travel with extra luggage, we recommend getting a second van for your luggage at an additional cost.

Characteristics:

  • Capacity: 135 kilos / 297 pounds
  • Weight: 115 kilos / 253 pounds
  • Wheel size: Central 25 cm / 9.85 inch; Rear & front wheels 17.5 cm / 6.89 inch
  • Total dimensions: 1.07 m / 3.5 feet long, 58 cm / 22.8 inch wide, 1.17 m / 3.83 feet high
  • Seat width: 45 cm / 17.7 inch

The following items are considered unusual oversize and/or overweight: boxes, golf bags, skis, bicycles, childcare equipment, strollers, and any other item not considered standard travel luggage. If traveling with these items plus standard luggage, you might require an additional vehicle. Please call us to discuss your needs.
